Hello SYVCC Looks like a great week of weather coming up . Hope to see you out on the road! See Below for weekly rides and information on this year’s club TT’s. Upcoming Club Team TT Our first club Team Time Trial is just around the corner in May. This year we are going to have 3 time trial events followed by our all club BBQ in August. The events will mirror the 3 Grand Tours. May will be the Giro De SYV. July will be the Tour De SYV, and Sept will be La Vuelta of SYV. The Giro Event will be 2 weeks, The Tour De SYV will be all of July, and the Vuelta event in Sept will be 2 weeks. The first TT in May will be May 13th-May 27th. It will be in the team format, with one individual segment, and one group segment on Strava. You don’t need to do anything right now. We will send a follow up email in a couple weeks with all the details and start building the teams. See upcoming ride Club member Darren Potter is organizing. The Velogen cycling club is putting on a Bike and Burger ride on May 4th, beginning at Rincon Park with routes to either Ventura or a longer loop through prestigious Montecito and Santa Barbara. If any cyclists from SYVCC would like to attend that would be great. Multiple route options with be available to riders of all abilities. Be at the Rincon Park ready to roll at 8:29, the long route through Montecito is incredible scenic and will take 3.5 hours of steady pedaling, quicker if cyclists stay together as a group. The BBQ will have amazing burgers and the cost of the BBQ is $10 per person, which will give you a big plate of food. BBQ should be finished by 1 PM’ish. Then enjoy the time on the beach or the view of the islands.
