We will send a update when it arrives. There is going to be a fun local cycling event at Vandenberg Space Force Base coming up. It sounds like a great low key event with both a MTB race and a Grand Fondo with a couple of options of miles. it would be fun to get a good group from the club to participate and support a local Cycling event. Saturday A RideStart: 9:15am Duration: 3hrs 50 Miles Where to meet: Solvang Park Description: The Valley Loop: East on 246, Armor Ranch Rd, Happy Canyon, Baseline, Roblar, Los Olivos to Foxen Canyon, out to the top of Zaca Mesa, regroup, then down to Zaca Station, East on 154 to Ballard Canyon, or Alamo Pintado back to Solvang , pace 18-19mph avg. Saturday B RideStart: 9:05am Duration: 2.5hrs Where to meet: Solvang Park Solvang Description: This ride is not a “hammer ride”. It will be led as a “no-drop”, 14-16 mph group ride. This pace may change depending on the route and the riders who show up. The plan is for this to be a fun, intermediate, social ride, where we can stop for coffee/smoothie after or close to the end of the ride. Wednesday Ride Start: 4:15p Duration 90 minutes to 2 hours Where to meet: Solvang Park Description: Brinkerhoff and Calzada out and backs by way of AP. https://www.strava.com/clubs/1783/group_events/2000956?new=true Woman’s Saturday Ride Start: 9:30a Duration 2 Hours Where to Meet: Solvang Park Description: This ride will meet at Solvang Park every other Saturday. The next ride will be April 19th. The group that shows up will decide the route that week, or if they want to have a set regular route. Upcoming Club Team TT We are going to have 3 Team TT’s this year to coincide with the Grand Tours. We will have an all-club party on Aug 2nd as well. Our May TT Giro D’ SYV will be from May 5th to May 18th. We will be building the teams in the next 3 weeks. Teams will be announced the week of April 28th 1 segment you can ride with others, and 1 individual segment you ride alone. Come out and give it a try, it’s a great way to meet other club members and a lot of fun. All club members are welcome to join a team. We hope to get at least 7 balanced teams of 5 riders. Group Segment that you can ride with others. Fig Mtn Road to Neverland and Back. This will be a fast one, the road is in good shape, and you can do this with a group. We will do this on the Wednesday and Saturday rides probably a couple times. Fig MTN Road Group Segment Out and Back Individual Segment that you have to ride solo This is the Jonata Frontage Road to the end on the Road. It’s off the Ave of Flags where the Zaca Creek Restaurant is. Jonata Road Individual Segment Take a close list at the segments so you know the start and end points.
