If you are free, we could use some volunteers next week for this great event the bike club is supporting. The club is also donating 65 helmets to be given out at the event. Thank You to our generous sponsors and Solvang Rotary for helping us with this donation.
“CycleMaynia is here! The SYVCC has partnered with the City of Solvang, Solvang School. Dr. J’s and MOVE SB to create a Bike to School event on Wednesday, May 13th from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. We have identified 5 residential zones where school kids will meet adult volunteers to ride a bike bus to school.
We need 5 volunteers from the bike club to assist with the bike bus. Basically, you will meet at one of the designated residential zones (we will tell you which one!) and bike with a group of kids to school

Also on Thursday, May 14th is “Bike to Work” Day. Sponsored by the Solvang Chamber, this event encourages community members to bike to the Hadsten House to attend a Chamber Mixer from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. If there’s enough interest from the club, we could organize a short ride (Ballard Canyon loop?) en route to the event.
