All County Ride 10/31

Hello SYVCC

We wanted to give everyone more details on the all-county Ride that the club is helping to coordinate. We came up with the idea to try to meet up with other Cyclists in the County that share our passion for riding. Getting to know the other Bike Clubs and Cycling groups in the county will help to have collaboration on projects that we have common interests in. It’s also a great way to meet new people and show them how great it is to ride up here. In discussions with the other groups in the county, we envision this turning into a few times a year event that rotates around the county. This is not a SYVCC event; we are just helping coordinate the first one with all the other local Cycling organizations.

Details:

Clubs from across Santa Barbara County are meeting up at the new Dr. J’s location in Los Olivos on Halloween to do an out and back to the top of Tepesquet. Extra credit if you want to continue down to the 166!

10/31 at 9a from the New Dr J’s/SB Wine County Cycling Tours Headquarters. 2948 Nojoqui Ave Unit 9a Los Olivos CA.

Dr J’s is going to have Fluid Hydration and GU to hand out for all the riders at the start of the ride.

(Standard Rules Apply: helmets required, no headphones in the group, obey all traffic laws)

When we cross HWY 154, please make sure it is safe for everyone to get across.

Those who ride E Assist Bikes are welcome to join the ride. Please just make sure to let the riders on the analog bikes set the pace.

I imagine this will break up into several groups. Please ride at your own pace, be careful on the descents, and have a fun safe ride.

Main Street Cycles will have water at the Top of the Climb for the ride back.
