*If it rains within 3 days ride is canceled. Meet at Upper Oso Campground at 9:30. Parking suggestion anywhere off of Paradise Road near the entrance to Rancho Oso, that is free of no parking signs. Park tightly so we can fit everyone in. Keep in mind it takes 15-20 mins to ride from parking to Upper Oso. The ride will climb Buckhorn Road up to the Saddle of Little Pine MTN. The return route is up to you. Either return down Buckhorn Road or descend Santa Cruz Trail back down to Upper Oso. Please be aware that Santa Cruz Trail is in bad shape in some places, but perfect in other sections. If you take SCT you will have to hike in bike some sections. Ride your analog bike or your level 1 emtb. Bring lunch and water, dress in layers. Plan accordingly. Let’s ring in the new year on our bikes on top of a mountain!
