Happy New Year SYVCC. See below for an upcoming SYVCC volunteer opportunity. For the Saturday rides this week, the club is doing a combined ride with the Santa Maria Cycling Club that was organized by Tony Gamberutti and Dr J’s. This will be a great opportunity to meet other cyclists from the county. The plan is for the SM group to meet at Dr. J’s in Buellton at 8:30am. Corey will have hot coffee from Cafe Dolce. Group will depart for Solvang @ 8:45am They will meet up with SYVCC group – both A and B rides will ride together to traffic circle then split up. Group from Santa Maria may split among one group or the other. Both rides will do either entire Valley Ride or shorter version (B ride only). Dr. J group will meet back in Buellton after ride and head over to Firestone for lunch and beers. Thinking probably around 1:30pm to allow time for people to change etc. SYVCC riders are encouraged to join the ride and for lunch. Weekly RidesCLUB RIDES (Standard Rules Apply: helmets required, no head phones in the group, obey all traffic laws) – These rides are not for our members only, so if you have friends and family in town, invite them out on one of the rides, all are welcome! Description: The Valley Loop: East on 246, Armor Ranch Rd, Happy Canyon, Baseline, Roblar, Alamo Pintado, Foxen Canyon, Out to the top of Zaca Mesa, Turn Around, Zaca Station, East on 154 to Ballard , pace 18-19mph avg. Saturday B RideStart: 9:05am

Where to meet: Solvang Park Solvang
Description: This ride is not a “hammer ride”. It will be led as a “no-drop”, 14-16 mph group ride. This pace may change depending on the route and the riders who show up. The plan is for this to be a fun, intermediate, social ride, where we can stop for coffee/smoothie after or close to the end of the ride. Wednesday MTN Bike Ride

Location: Park and Ride in Santa Ynez The club sponsors a section of Road on Amour Ranch. Come out and help us clean one of the roads we ride on. The club will provide everything. Usually takes 2 Hours All Club Kit hand out party at Firestone Brewery.
Date: Late January, we will have an exact date when we know the kit arrival day. This will be for all club members and their families.
