| Hello SYVCC
We had a great turnout on the Thanksgiving Ride. At one point we had 35 riders in the group. It was great to see so many club members and old friends out enjoying a really fun ride. We have a couple of upcoming club events for you to put on your calendar, see below.
- All Club Ride on Saturday December 20th with Coffee at Zaca in Buellton after. Look out for the route and details on IG and Strava from Thompson Ogilve in the next couple of weeks
- Club Winter Party at Firestone/Walker Brewery on Saturday Feb 28th from 4p-7p. Update on all the club endeavors and a special guest speaker. Food and Beverages provided by the club.
- The club clothing order is in the final production in Italy and we should have a firm pick up date next week, most likely the 3rd week of Dec. We will have a few extras for sale if you missed out on the order.
- This Saturday the A ride will be riding out Foxen to the Church and Back this week. Head out AP to Foxen to the Church and Back. Leave the park in Solvang at 9:15a
- If you want to be on the B Ride WhatsApp group chat, let me know. They have some weekday meet up rides, and discuss the routes for Saturday as well on the Chat. Great turn out for that group the last few weeks!
- If you haven’t got your club tee shirt, they are at Dr J’s to pick up

CLUB RIDES (Standard Rules Apply: helmets required, no head phones in the group, obey all traffic laws) – These rides are not for our members only, so if you have friends and family in town, invite them out on one of the rides, all are welcome!
Saturday A Ride

Start: 9:15am
Duration: 3hrs 50 Miles
Where to meet: Solvang Park
Description: The Valley Loop: East on 246, Armor Ranch Rd, Happy Canyon, Baseline, Roblar, Los Olivos to Foxen Canyon, out to the top of Zaca Mesa, regroup, then down to Zaca Station, East on 154 to Ballard Canyon, or Alamo Pintado back to Solvang , pace 18-19mph avg.
Saturday B Ride
Start: 9:05am
Duration: 2.5hrs
Where to meet: Solvang Park Solvang
Description: This ride is not a “hammer ride”. It will be led as a “no-drop”, 14-16 mph group ride. This pace may change depending on the route and the riders who show up. The plan is for this to be a fun, intermediate, social ride, where we can stop for coffee/smoothie after or close to the end of the ride.
