| Hello SYVCC. We hope everyone has been able to get out and ride in the amazing weather the last week. I saw lot’s of club kits riding around the valley on the weekend. We had great participation last week on all 3 rides. If you have never tried one of the club rides, come out and give one a try. It’s a great way to get ready for our club TT series that will start up in May, and meet other local cyclists and club members. The WNR started back up last week, and we had 14 which was a good start to the ride this year. See below for current club rides. Weekly RidesCLUB RIDES (Standard Rules Apply: helmets required, no head phones in the group, obey all traffic laws) – These rides are not for our members only, so if you have friends and family in town, invite them out on one of the rides, all are welcome! Description: The Valley Loop: East on 246, Armor Ranch Rd, Happy Canyon, Baseline, Roblar, Alamo Pintado, Foxen Canyon, Out to the top of Zaca Mesa, Turn Around, Zaca Station, East on 154 to Ballard , pace 18-19mph avg. Saturday B RideStart: 9:05am
Duration: 2.5hrs
Where to meet: Solvang Park Solvang
Description: This ride is not a “hammer ride”. It will be led as a “no-drop”, 14-16 mph group ride. This pace may change depending on the route and the riders who show up. The plan is for this to be a fun, intermediate, social ride, where we can stop for coffee/smoothie after or close to the end of the ride. Wednesday Ride Start: 4:15p
Duration: 90 Minutes to 2 hours
Where to Meet: Solvang Park
Description: 17-19 MPH. The route will vary week to week. The routes will be designed to be out and backs so we can regroup. We will also incorporate the TT’s when those start back up in later Spring and Summer. The Route This week: 246 towards the Roundabout. Amour Ranch to Baseline to Mora. Out and Back on Brinkerhoff, regroup then Roblar to Calzada out and back. Re group, back on Edison to Samantha to Refugio and back 246 to Solvang.
