🦁 2025 Tour de SYV 🦁 – Join a team!
Bonjour! The prestigious Tour de SYV is back for another installment and we need you on a team. Ride 5 segments for the chance to be enshrined in the history books of SYVCC lore. As usual, the dates to complete the segments will roughly coincide with that other bike race that happens in France (July 1st – July 27th). There will be 3 segments you can ride with others as a team, and 2 individual segments you ride alone.
Sponsoring the Tour de SYV this year is Zaca Coffee. They are generously providing $5 gift cards to ALL RIDERS WHO PARTICIPATE! On top of that, each rider in the top 3 teams at the end of the Tour will win a bag of Zaca Coffee – Sacré Bleu!
In addition to the prizes from Zaca Coffee, the top 3 teams will also win a gift card to Dr. J’s Bike Shop. For the teams finishing in the 4th – 6th position, you won’t go home empty handed – you will win a gift card to Dr. J’s Bike Shop. On the individual side, the 💛 Maillot Jaune 💛 (also a Dr. J’s Gift Card) will be won by the male and female rider with the fastest overall time of the segments.
All prizes for the Tour de SYV will be presented to riders at the annual SYVCC Cookout on Saturday, August 2nd, 1pm – 4pm at Hans Christian Andersen Park in Solvang.
If you’re interested in participating in the Tour de SYV or have any questions, please email Jeff Thomson or Thompson Ogilvie.

A few more notes:
-Be safe! You are responsible for your own safety.
-Be a good representative of cycling in the valley (be courteous to drivers)
-Strava is our source of truth for these competitions. You will need to have your effort uploaded to Strava, so make sure your GPS bike computer is charged, or have your strava app track the ride.
-No drafting on the individual segment, only the team one.
-In the last few TT’s, the winning teams have been separated by less than 30 seconds, so it’s always really close.
-Encourage your fellow SYVCC Members
