Start Via Ranchero Road https://www.strava.com/segments/37202796 Stage 1 Individual Strava Segment SYVCC TT 246 Mail Rd to Btown https://www.strava.com/segments/32039908 Stage 2 Group stage Strava segment SYVCC TT #5 154 to 154 Starts at Zaca station https://www.strava.com/segments/7758024 Stage 3 Group stage Strava segment Alisal+Old Coast HWY, bridge crossing to freeway https://www.strava.com/segments/11429190 Stage 4 Group stage Strava segment Amour Rollers to the end of Calzada https://www.strava.com/segments/37202664 Dates: 7/1-7/31. It will start on a Monday and end of a Wednesday to give all riders as many opportunities to ride the segments as they want. Take a look at the Satellite image to get the best idea of the start and finish if you aren’t sure. Or Star the segment on the Strava App to synch with the segment on your bike computer. Club BBQ We will also have an all club BBQ on Saturday Aug 3rd from 1p-5p at Hans Christian Andersen Park to hand out prizes and see friends. All food and beverages will be provided by the club. Meat and Vegetarian options will be offered. Famous Basque climbers Marcos Alvarez and Miguel Hector will be cooking. The Prizes: - Top 3 teams – $25 / $15 / $5 at Dr Js per team member
- Fastest Prologue Team – $10 at Dr Js per team member
- Fastest Climbing Team – $10 at Dr Js per team member
- Fastest Climber (M and F) – $20 at Dr Js
- Fastest Overall (M and F) – $25 at Dr Js
The Rules: - Complete all 5 segments at least once, in any order, any time in July (they have to be on Strava)
- 2 Individual Segments and 3 group segments you can ride with others
- The “no drafting” rule still applies for the Prologue and other individual segments. These are true TTs.
- Each rider’s time will be totaled for all 5 stages (using their fastest time for each Strava segment during the month of July). The winning team will have the lowest combined time for all team members
- If a rider doesn’t complete a segment, they will be assigned a TBD time penalty which will be factored into the total team time (as an example, the time penalty for skipping the Prologue might be 15 minutes)
- Be safe, have fun, and cheer on your fellow riders!
- Must use Strava for your time to count
