MTN Bike Ride This Sunday

Frazer is planning on doing the ride from Rancho Alegre this Sunday meet at 9:15, we will send a final go or no go Saturday after we see how much rain we get with the details.

Thanksgiving Ride

Let’s get our legs moving before we let our bellies do the talking! πŸ¦ƒπŸ’¨
Join us on the annual SYVCC Thanksgiving Day Ride β€” it’s the perfect way to get in the holiday spirit and make room for that second helping of mashed potatoes!

When: Thanksgiving Morning, November 28th
Where: Meet at Sunny Fields Park at 9:00 AM
Route: We’ll ride to the Flag Pole in Los Olivos by 9:20 AM, then head out on a no-drop group ride along Figueroa Mountain Road to the base of the climb. For those feeling extra adventurous, some of the group may continue up the road to the Ranger Station.
Strava Link: https://www.strava.com/routes/3292688612390482838

Important Notes:

  • The road is still in rough condition from the Lake Fire in July, so it’s recommended to bring a bike with wider tires and lower pressure for the climb.
  • All skill levels are welcome! The ride will be a no-drop, relaxed pace, with plenty of time to enjoy the views.

What to Bring:

  • A bike in good working order 🚲 (with wide tires, if you’re heading to the Ranger Station)
  • A helmet (for safety, not to dodge flying gravy)
  • A water bottle πŸ’§
  • A thankful attitude (and maybe a snack to share!) 🧣🍏

Come out, enjoy the ride, and get in some fresh air before the Thanksgiving festivities kick into full swing. Feel free to bring your family and friends along for the ride!

Happy Thanksgiving!
