Hello SYVCC
The Vuelta a España is underway, which means it’s time for the Vuelta a SYV!
This year we’re switching things up with an Omnium-style competition: three Strava segments, with points awarded based on your finishing position. Your points from all three stages will be added together, and the rider with the most points at the end will be crowned Vuelta a SYV Champion!
How It Works:
Each segment will be scored:
🥇 1st — 10 points
🥈 2nd — 8 points
🥉 3rd — 6 points
4th — 5 points
5th — 4 points
6th — 3 points
7th — 2 points
8th — 1 point
We will start tracking times from Wednesday, 9/2 – Sunday, 9/13 at 5pm. Multiple attempts are allowed, so if your first effort is ruined by a headwind, traffic, breakfast, questionable gearing, or an unusually aggressive ground squirrel, you get another shot.
You can do each segment solo or with a group, but remember points are based on time. At the end, we’ll add up the points and crown the 2026 Vuelta a SYV Omnium Champion.
No prizes for this one, keeping it simple, just bragging rights!
